You can take photos only in hall 4 (modern history) and in the lobby.

If you want to climb the Kok Tobe Mount in the most exciting and unusual way, you may become a passenger of a unique cableway connecting the downtown of Almaty and Kok Tobe. The cableway is 1,620 meters long, and the travel time is 6 minutes with 250 meter elevation that allows you watching the life of the city from above – right below you there are green gardens, private houses and endless city skyscrapers behind them. There are 17 cabins with capacity of 8 people in each.
6. Big Almaty Lake: This beautiful lake is located in the mountains and offers great views, hiking trails, and a beach.

Lake Issyk
Likely to be fairly crowded if it's a nice day. You park about 1 km from the lake and can walk or take a shuttle van to the area just above the lake.

Kok-Tobe
The Almaty Cableway is a cable car line in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The cable car line is 2.5 km long and runs from the top of Kok-Tobe hill to the observation platform of the Medeo high-mountain skating rink. The cableway was built in 1967 and has been operating since then. It offers a breathtaking view of the city and its surroundings. The cable car cabin has a capacity of 8 people, and the ride takes around 15-20 minutes.
